Documentation Unit
The Laboratory has a documentation unit which is responsible for sample handling and management procedures that maintain the integrity of both the samples and the documentation to support the analytical data.

The unit, in consultation with the director acts as the public relations and liaison office for the institution; providing information regarding the services rendered ensuring confidentiality at all times.

The unit has the following key functions:
  • Implementing and maintaining the document control system
  • Coordinating, reviewing and revision of quality system documents
  • Drafting and issuance of certificates and invoices.
  • Maintaining the Document Master List to ensure active and revised documents are provided to staff and
  • Archiving superseded or obsolete documents
The Laboratory has a complaint procedure initiated by the documentation unit, describing the process for the receipt and recording of complaints received from any party.

The opportunity for the client to witness Laboratory activity is given upon request through official correspondence to the unit, provided that the Laboratory is able to maintain confidentiality to other clients during such cases.

Test reports and the communication of information generated by the Laboratory are conducted under the direction of the Director.
